Accessory junkie

Being a female, especially a Southern female, I love, love, love accessories. Mothers of little girls get bows, bracelets, and purses to name a few. How lucky are they! As a mother of boys, I can't put bows in their hair or cute little leg warmers on them. I'm stuck with hats. The thing I found is that my boys have big ole'noggins and they've quickly outgrown the ones in their age bracket. With that said, there are some really cute hats to be found, but I can't justify spending a lot since they likely to outgrow their hats within a season. So what's a mom to do?

You got it! I made some of my own. These hats made from high quality fleece make this a super soft and warm hat. And more importantly, they are made to cover over the ears. No two hats will be the same, as each time I make this hat, the hat shows a different part of the pattern.

The Nose Knows

Occasionally, I will make something *really* cute. Let me clarify. I think everything I make is cute or precious, but sometimes a particular outfit really jumps out at me and I find it exceptionally cute. That's how I feel about the Snowman Set so I couldn't wait to show it to my 3yo and see his reaction to his new outfit.

Imagine my joy when he looked at it and exclaimed, "Mommy, you made me a snowman!" And just as quickly said, "Where's his nose?" I tried to convince him for the next ten minutes why his snowman was perfect the way he was - without a nose. After all, what right does a 3yo have to argue with my artistic genius? But as anyone who has ever has 3yo knows, they just won't listen to reason.

*Le sigh*

So here we are...

To which, W excitedly proclaimed, "Mom, you fixed my snowman!" And I have to agree the nose makes the man, or snowman in this instance.

Website make-over

I've had my nose to the proverbial grindstone and I am so excited to show off our new web design! For several days now, I have been researching and researching how to make my blogger store more user friendly. After much work, and numerous new posts, I was finally able set-up the new design. (Sorry to all of you who follow and got so many posts this morning!) I am hoping to eventually convert this site so Whistle Britches can directly sell from it.
